I just thought some of the homebuyers out there should know that the rates came down. the average rates on a 30-year fixed rate mortgage fell to 5.97% down from 6.33%. There are some rates as low as 5.25%! The Federal Reserve should be given the credit for this drop because of their announcement to purchase Fannie and Freddies securities.
