2010 Military Pay Charts Military Pay Update: President Obama signed the 2010 National Defense Authorization Act which includes a 3.4 percent pay increase for all service members. This raise is .5 percent lower than the 2009 military pay increase. However, considering current economic conditions this may prove to be a generous increase when compared to the civilian wage rates. The 2010 military pay increase will go into effect on January 1, 2010 and will be reflected by the mid-January paydate.
