As I say the further away you get from the City of Detroit the lower the crime rates will be. As everybody knows low income cities and cities with higher poverty rates have higher crime. One of the reasons is the residents have very little money and crime is an easy way to get more money, a car, or stuff. Most of the first ring of cities around the City of Detroit will have a little higher crime rates. But when you get to the second ring of communities the crime usually drops even more.
