It’s summer and the activities in the Cripple Creek Victor District are gearing up! The Butte Theater in Cripple Creek is gearing up for another round of great shows. Starting with the Cripple Creek Ragtime Review which runs June 2nd through July 28th. After Dark A classic Melodrama and Olio runs June 23rd through August 24th. Friday before Memorial Day. The little town of Victor is gearing up for the start of summer. We actually had rain last night! Mother nature is starting to catch up to the calendar. The forecast is looking like two weeks of afternoon storms. Which is great except when cattle refuse to be done by noon. This weekend is going to be filled with BBQ’s and friends. Yes that is true it is a snow day up here today. Woke up to fog and snow and temps in the low 30's. That is May in Victor for you! It has been a crazy last 7 days. Wedding planning is amping up (along with the fact I really am not a wedding planner!) Cattle projects are moving along and hopefully this week we will be bringing the cows home from winter pasture! Gearing up for a warm weekend always makes me smile. I enjoy the warmer weather and the fun we will have. This weekend some dear friends of mine are moving up to Greeley area for work. A little rain helps plants, animals, and life in general thrive. Most of the western half of the country has been in a massive drought for many years. These recent storms in Colorado are a huge relief for the drought stricken area. However they do pose some other issues. On of the biggest we are seeing now is the flooding and the damage caused by that. In Victor a large pond formed next to the Phantom Canon road. A market review for the month of April for the Cripple Creek- Victor area. In the month of April we saw a downward trend in single-family residences listed and sold however the sold prices have rose 54.6% from last year. In the townhome and condominium market there has been little change for the month of April. Another positive sign for the month of April was the days on the market have decreased by 58.4% from last year with the average being 52 days on the market.
