To all of you who love Southwest Florida- Fort Myers Beach is my favorite place. Fort Myers Beach is sometimes still referred to as Estero island. When the town incorpoated they took on the name Fort Myers Beach. Many people still romaticize and prefer the name Estero Island. I guess it has a more tropical feel.
