lent: Giving up Beer for Lent but not on St. Patrick's Day?

Any of you given something up for Lent this year but found yourself in a pickle, faced with a difficult decision whether or not to break the commitment? I did. In my effort to better appreciate Christ's sacrifice for my sins I decided to participate in Lent for the first time. So off the cuff I thought giving up beer would be a good sacrifice for me. I usually only drink once or twice a week with my family or friends on the weekend so I thought giving up barley pop for 40 days would be a challenge but not too terrible. … (7 comments)
