As a former owner of a gracious 1790's Colonial in Greenfield NH for which I provided the financing to have renovated back in 1999, here are a few words from that experience... First, the experience of bringing an older home "back to life" is very fulfilling... good for the soul! One finds old treasures behind walls, secret rooms between chimney spaces, old slippers, magazines, construction and renovation decisions made long ago that can alter what remains possible.
