los angeles: Cowles Mountain in San Diego County's San Carlos - 8.9.2012 - 08/08/12 09:16 PM

Continuing with my mountain theme for the week I thought I would venture to a hiker’s favorite, Cowles Mountain. Located within Mission Trails Park in an area of East San Diego County known as San Carlos, Cowles Mountain has an elevation of 1,592 feet. It is actually the highest point in San Diego County. Its main hiking trail is one of the most popular in the area and offers a 360 degree view.
San Carlos is located near La Mesa, Santee and San Diego’s, “College Area” where you can find the home of the Aztecs, San Diego State University.

los angeles: Hard Money Lender Shares Available Mount Shasta Real Estate - 8.6.2012 - 08/06/12 06:12 PM

This is not Mt. Shasta. But well... you get the idea.

Okay. So we’ve talked beach. We’ve talked desert. What’s left? How about mountains?! Today I want to focus on Mount Shasta. When I made my big move down from Seattle to San Diego one place that really made an impact on me along the way was Mount Shasta.
Located just over the Oregon border with similarly abundant green trees and natural beauty as seen in the Pacific Northwest, this northern California town is located less than a five hour drive from big city San Francisco. Find out more … (0 comments)

  Your desert dream house awaits.
Welcome to a new month everyone! I always think of August as being the hottest month of the year. Of course, that depends on what part of the planet you reside in. I can only imagine how high the temperatures were today in the deserts of Arizona. Luckily, we have the convenience of the internet. We can sit in an air conditioned room, such as I am, and shop for real estate!

I love the fresh, crisp morning desert air.

Welcome to a new week everyone! Last week I had fun highlighting lovely beach areas to consider purchasing property. Let’s change it up a bit. This week I’m going to venture to the desert! Although I love living near the water, one of my fondest childhood memories is waking up in my grandparents’ backyard. They lived near Palm Springs. The cool, crisp desert morning air felt so refreshing and healthy. I always felt rested when I awoke.
Speaking of Palm Springs, let’s go there today! Leave it to good ole Trulia.com … (0 comments)

This has been a fun week of sharing beautiful beachfront properties along the southern and central California coast. Now it’s time for you Northern California!
To start us off, I found this web page, crowning the “Top 10 Northern California Beaches.”
Top 10 Northern California Beaches

The San Francisco waterfront is a great place to vacation or live. Just ask these guys!

When I say San Francisco, the first thing that comes to mind may not be beach. You may envision the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz or seal lions basking on the docks in the Pier 39 marina. Even … (0 comments)

Fisherman's Wharf in Monterey, California.

In keeping with my accidental beach theme this week, I thought I would move a bit north to Monterey. Located on the central coast of California, this waterfront city was made famous in author John Steinbeck’s novels, Cannery Row, Tortilla Flat and East of Eden, as well as his play, Of Mice and Men.
Monterey is a five and a half hours drive north of Los Angeles and a little over two hours south of San Francisco. Learn more about beautiful Monterey, California at the link below!

Southern California offers beautiful beach sunsets.

Happy Tuesday everyone! Yesterday I shared my fascination with Malibu real estate, which has been nurtured thanks to Bravo’s real estate focused reality show, Million Dollar Listing. But Los Angeles County isn’t the only area of California offering beautiful beach front living!
Continuing with the attractive beach lifestyle, I wanted to share a website that I found today. It highlights gorgeous homes in beach cities located south of Los Angeles in Orange and San Diego Counties.
Check out available beach real estate at the link below.

A lovely Malibu view. It could be yours!

Okay. I admit it. I have been watching more of Bravo TV’s reality show, Million Dollar Listing. Madison, one of the featured real estate agents on the show focuses most of his attention in Malibu, California.
When they show scenes of Malibu I am reminded about one of the main benefits of Southern California. Sandy beaches, waves galore and beautiful, uplifting ocean views are definite perks to live here.

los angeles: Arizona Real Estate including Frank Lloyd Wright's Designs - 7.18.2012 - 07/18/12 03:32 PM
Desert beauty in Arizona.

I feel like I have been neglecting you Arizona! I’ve been writing a lot about California lately. It’s your turn Copper State! More commonly known as The Grand Canyon State, the desert climate of Arizona claims spring training camps for many major league baseball teams. The San Diego Padres, Los Angeles Dodgers, San Francisco Giants and the state’s home club Diamondbacks are just a few of the teams that train in Arizona.
Wright's designs are beyond innovative!

Since we’re talking houses, I wanted to mention that acclaimed architect, Frank Lloyd Wright lived in Arizona for … (0 comments)

Million Dollar Listings in Malibu, Califormia.

Because of the fact reality shows are taking over the air waves, I know that I am not the only one that watches them. Based in Los Angeles, “Million Dollar Listing” is a reality show that airs on Bravo. The show follows several real estate agents as they find clients their dream homes and negotiate deals in Malibu, Beverly Hills, the Hollywood Hills and elsewhere throughout Los Angeles. Occasionally the agents venture to Orange County and elsewhere, but predominantly they are in Los Angeles County. Bravo also recently added a New York version … (0 comments)

How does seeing a full moon make you feel?

What’s scary to one person, may be fun for another. Friday the 13th, Halloween, walking outside at night time with a full moon and other scenarios. Some people live for these experiences, while others choose to avoid them.
There are a lot of situations we come across in life that, depending on your perspective can be seen as exciting or stressful. How we view something will either energize, motivating us to move forward or deplete, discouraging us from further exploration.
An unknown path can be scary or exciting. It's just … (0 comments)

Falafels and more! Delish Mediterranean style.

If I owned the property that housed a restaurant, would I get free food? I had an amazing dinner tonight. In addition to writing a blog for Source Capital I perform stand-up comedy. I was booked for a last minute gig tonight at a  Mediterranean restaurant. It was a fun venue with delicious food. Below is a link to the restaurant that offered unbelievable dishes to sample.

los angeles: Available Real Estate in Ocean Beach San Diego, California - 6.22.2012 - 06/22/12 07:18 AM

Beautiful Ocean Beach.

I love San Diego’s Ocean Beach area, known as OB to locals. My friend and I went there for dinner last night. My dog was able to join us, because OB has so many outdoor dining areas that allow canine companions. Not only are there a number of restaurants with outdoor dining, but Ocean Beach is an overall dog friendly area.
We opted for a spot on Abbot with a view of the water. It was overcast, which I love! It is always 10 – 15 degrees cooler near the San Diego beaches than it is … (0 comments)
