For us, a few Social Networks have been picking up speed in the form of contacts and referrals in the last few weeks, perhaps the exponential growth factor is kicking in lately? I know at our Company's recent convention, one of the speakers (Terry Watson) promoted Facebook (be-friend us - look up Jeff Safrin :) and Linked in ( link to us... look up Grace Safrin) as musts for REALTORS to join and use nowadays. Many supportive services to our profession of Real Estate Sales are getting on the bandwagon.

The Valparaiso University Crusaders Men's Basketball TEAM ended the regular season tonight with a Win against the Penguins of Youngstown State 67 to 59, in which 2 seniors also finished their careers at the ARC. Seniors Urule Igbavoda and Jake Diebler both ended their 4 years with a Win. They also were privileged to play during their four years the Number 1 Teams in the Country. They played North Carolina 2 times, plus Duke and Ohio State. This season has been a trying and growing experience for the Crusaders and I have noticed one thing, this team is gelling! It was our first time to Notre Dame to see the Fighting Irish play a men's Basketball game, against The State University of New Jersey Rutgers - Scarlet Knights.....and what a wonderful experience it was! Albeit, we were running late due to the fact we were still filming with ABC News Night-line for an upcoming show. So, we walked in about 9 minutes into the first half, and I looked up and saw the score -> Rutgers 21 - Notre Dame 10, then thought - WHAT ! are you kidding me ??? The Valparaiso Crusaders may have played their best game of the year tonight as they beat a very good and high RPI Rated Team the University of Akron Zips 74-66. What an awesome ESPN Bracket Buster Game to Be at...The Crusaders had 6 (yes 6!) players in double figures that shot over 50% from the field, 33% from beyond the Arc, and 65% from the charity strip! NAR (National Association of REALTORS) has a great TV commercial out about Buyers sitting on the fence! We are still getting calls from those fence sitting buyers (or their Buyer Agents) expressing surprise &/or remorse that this Highland, Indiana Home had an offer to purchase in only 10 days on the Market! We SOLD and Closed on a Property Today January 2nd, 2009 that was Subject To Lenders Approval of a Short Sale. The Purchase Agreement was received by us via Fax from the Buyers Agent and Jeff contacted the Sellers Lender's Loss Mitigation Department the next morning. He listened to the usual "sch-peal" of how LONG an answer would take and the LIST of requirements that needed to be in place (pre-lim HUD, hardship letter, etc...) even BEFORE they would consider reviewing this offer. Everyone I talked with after the first few season games said Valpo was gonna be OK this year. I have played basketball since I was 5 years old, and even coached some, so I knew better. Now, my concern become real after watching the Valparaiso University Crusaders Men's Basketball Team lose to Indiana Purdue Fort Wayne - IPFW Mastodons, 63-46 Wednesday evening at the ARC. I looked at the season schedule and thought this would be the telling game for the Crusaders and it was. It is gonna be a tough, long & challenging seasonfor the young Valpo Men's Basketball Team. Valpo led by Michael Rogers' 23 points : 11-14 from the field. Following Rogers was Cameron Witt whose inside the paint play gave him 16 points and 8 of 11 from the field. This was a mediocre test for the Crusader's as the "real" test" will start this Tuesday, November 18th at the ARC when Central Florida comes to town. The Golden Knights are a very good Conference USA Team and have a standout guard Jermaine Taylor that is a projected 2nd round pick in the NBA Draft this year!
