Contracts to buy and sell real estate have been flying through my email account this week. Buyers have lighted up my inbox with sales contracts. Some sales contracts are offers on houses for buyers I represent. I have also received sales contracts from buyers making offers on English Team listings.
The past 7 days have been a frenzy of activity. Unfortunately, this activity has not been evenly spread as some listings are getting a bunch of showings and others are getting none. It is not hard to predict that most offers on English Team listings came in on properties where the … (2 comments)

The English Team has seen encouraging activity in the first few weeks of the spring real estate market in neighborhoods convenient to Emory University and The Center for Disease Control. Our neighborhoods in Northeast DeKalb County (metro Atlanta) have experienced more offers and accepted contracts than we expected. Gotcha! The Verizon 2 year phone contract leaves me out in the cold.
I am one of the many real estate agents using Verzon as my cell phone supplier. Many of us chose Verizon because the coverage is excellent throughout most of the US. Real estate agents HAVE to be able o send and receive calls, text messages and email. It is the lifeblood of our business. So most of us select our wireless vendor based on coverage.

Atlanta led the nation in house price decline in October 2010! Not the statistic we were hoping to be leaders in but not surprising given the foreclosures in Atlanta.
Banks continued to flood the market with homes they put on the market after foreclosing on the owners. Atlanta's foreclosure rate is also "up there" on the National list. Bank owned is a pretty common term in the Atlanta real estate market in recent months.

Bank of America Halts All Foreclosure Activity
"Bank of America on Friday halted foreclosures on homes across the country so it could review paperwork in tens of thousands of cases for flaws, expanding a crisis at a perilous time for the housing market." Associated Press
Bank of America appears to have called off all foreclosures, in 50 states, so they can get their paperwork in order. In fact, there is some question as to the legality of foreclosures Bank of America has already processed.
