The Caller wanted to know how well we knew the area her clients were moving to....what was the inventory like...If need be the Buyers would pursue new construction...OR....they may choose to make modifications or additions to an existing property...could we help with that .... referrals in real estate: Sooo....You Want that Referral...What to do...or Not ..! - 02/20/19 07:28 PM
Many agents...enjoy working Relocation, It can come in many ways..you might be working with a Relocation company, an agent in your brokerage, an Active Rain Member, a Member who is your desigation/certification, a Facebook group..lots of opportunities. It is a "given" that you will be giving a part of your commission if you receive an assignment...OR getting a portion if you give a referral.
We look for agents in a variety of ways as many agents do....and we don't accept the first person that responds a being "the best" or the only one to be considered. Sometimes you wonder if an … (18 comments)

referrals in real estate: Treating Referrals Like the Gift they Are.... - 06/22/18 04:07 AM
. This month we sent a series of referrals to different states. The Sellers and Buyers were people we know very well who trusted us ro make the best suggestions for agents.  Neither wanted interview agents...they wanted us to make that choice and send their contact information...and that is what we did. It makes sense to follow directions ....or at least we think it does.
We think it's common courtesy...professionalism...to tell us when an offer has been accepted and send a link to the listing be it for a buyer or seller.  The people we refer usually assume we know … (19 comments)

referrals in real estate: Real Estate Referrals CAN be a Piece of Cake ! - 02/24/18 02:48 AM
In Real Estate 101 one of the first things you learn is to make sure that EVERYONE you know and EVERYONE you meet knows what  you do....I remember what now seems like a century ago writing out cards as a newly licensed agent and including a business card letting everyone know I was ready for whatever came our way in listings and real estate sales. (Not of course realizing what experience does....and how unprepared I REALLY was !)
I didn't wear a name tag to the grocery store...we don't wrap our cars full of logos or put our business … (34 comments)

referrals in real estate: We Cater to our Referral Network.... - 12/20/17 01:25 PM
Our real estate practice is built on referrals and we enjoy showing our referral sources how much we appreciate the business that they send us all year long.  It has been a tradition that we all look forward to every year....sometimes prefaced by emails...".....you are making deviled eggs aren't you ?"  Oh yes.....It's a picnic buffet that they enjoy.  The conference room becomes the party room and we celebrate the business we have done together during the year and wish each other more prosperous business in the new year.
We never take referrals for granted....we appreciate each and every one … (12 comments)

referrals in real estate: You Have the Referral....Now What do you Do ? - 01/31/16 09:58 PM
We refer Buyers and Sellers and get referrals on a very regular basis.  Sometimes it is someone in our sphere who knows someone who is "moving back to their roots" and needs to sell a home in another state.  There is sometimes a desire to be near children that have moved from the area and we introduce out Sellers to the new Buyer agent.  Job transfers...reasons vary...the goal is always the same.  To find the best agent that suits our transferring Buyers or Sellers needs and will give them the kind of first class service they deserve for all things … (8 comments)

'Tis the season when we want to especially thank the people who have extended their kind referrals...given us a pat on th back and a lift up in business with their referrals.  For these firms....we take off our real estate hats and  go to work in catering and delivery of lunches.
