I just wanted to make a quick post about the current market. I am writing this on June 19th, 2008 so you have a referance as to when this was written. Currently our market is what I would call soft. Homes under $200,000 are still selling within 30-60 days but homes over $300,000 are up to around 90-120 days and usually sellers are offering some sort of concession such as paying buyers closing costs, paying upgrades or discounting the price by as much as 15%. As many of you already know google gave many Real Estate Websites a 50 position penalty for excessive reciprical linking with other real estate websites. Why would google do this? Matt Cutts who is googles chief anti spam engineer basically says that exchanging links for the purpose of manipulating the search engine results is against googles rules and you will be punished. I think it is important as a Realtor to remember to play hard as well. Sometimes we get so busy with our transactions we forget to have fun with some of the money we are earning. Its so easy to get trapped in by over bearing clients, people droping by and with just the shear amount of work it takes to get things done in this business.
