Over the last couple of years we we have been blessed with farmers who have set aside acreage and created a field of sunflowers. They have made their sunflower field available to the public to walk, photograph and for a very small fee, you can buy a sunflower. This year the sunflower field was planted on State Route 229 just outside of Gambier, Ohio and Kenyon College. The sunflower crop was spectacular and it appears that it was a huge success based on all of the photos and videos we saw posted on social media.

We have been testing out some new camera gear that we can use in our real estate business. The video below is a long exposure video that captures automotive light trails from headlights and taillights while the cars are in motion. It is a very neat effect and there are a lot of possible uses for this technology relating to real estate and houses...think time-lapse videos featuring sunrises, sunsets and star trails above the homes that we are marketing.

Automated home value systems are all over the internet these days and there are a lot of homeowners who have been misinformed about the value of their home because of these types of automated systems. If you were to enter your home street address into the 5 most popular automated value model websites I would bet that the difference in value that these websites predict would vary by more than 10% from the lowest to the highest. Most people had a chance to see a deer and especially a large buck eat from an ultra close viewing perspective. For those who have never had this type of experience with a deer, today is your lucky day. We found a way to mount and hide a GoPro Hero 10 camera inside of a feeding bowl so that we could capture an ultra close up video. Knox County Ohio is surrounded by gorgeous woods, farmland, and acreage which makes it the ideal location for wildlife and especially for deer.

I was passing through The Lakes at Ariel Foundation Park tonight and I could tell it was going to be a spectacular sunset. As the sun began to set around 7:15 p.m. this evening, the glowing clouds and their reflection on the lake became more and more vivid. It wasn't long until the sky turned into a vibrant orange fireball.

The Ariel Foundation Park is an amazing place and there is something for everyone to enjoy. Photographers love the park, runners can get their daily exercise, there is great fishing, trail hiking, a museum, the Rastin Observation Tower to climb, picnic shelters to enjoy and plenty of park benches that are located around the park which make a great place to relax.

I took this photo while at Atlantis this week and thought the sky was unique. The sky color was so spectacular right before the sunrise and the sun was casting an amazing and colorful glow onto the clouds.
I shot photos for just about an hour and the best shots came about 15 minutes before the sun appeared.
What made it even better was that I checked the temperature back in Ohio and it was in the 20's and I was shooting photos at 6:30 a.m. in nearly 70 degree beach weather which put a big smile on my … (7 comments)
