On the heels of my three year cancer-free anniversary my head was shaved on live television on Monday, October 12, 2015 at 9:45am.

I’ve been bald before. I know from experience that hair is just hair. It will grow back. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy hair on my head. I also know my hair does not define me. As mentioned in the live interview, my boobs do not define me either.

October 11, 2015 marks my "cancer free" 3 year anniversary.
 
I asked my Oncologist when the year milestones are determined. Her response was: "It depends on who you ask." 
I will never forget that response.  I thought it was so strange because I was asking her.  So I said: "Well, I'm asking you."
 
She advised that some schools of thought are when chemo therapy ends. Others are the date of the surgery.  I've chosen to use the date of my surgery as my anniversary date.  Mainly because it was during the surgical procedure when the biopsy report indicated that there was no detectable … (42 comments)

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
There is a big difference between knowing what to do and doing it.  Don't you agree? This applies to all of life. It applies to our personal lives and business as well.   For most of us we tend to put business first. When that happends, taking care of our self falls off our priority list.
