greenbrier: The Greenbrier Resort's other secret

This is the second time this year a national newspaper has featured an article about Lewisburg, WV. Steve Hendrix of the Washington Post, wrote an article about the famous Greenbrier Hotel's other well kept secret. Of course the first secret was the Cold War bunker built under the hotel to house congress in the event of a nuclear attack. The other secret is the town of Lewisburg. greenbrier: Lewisburg market information

The market in Lewisburg, WV is still very good by WV standards. Greenbrier County is home to the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine (WVSOM), which is expanding their faculty and increasing their class sizes exponentially every year. The rental market is very tight for this reason and many students and parents of students are buying properties that can later be sold or rented. The expansion of WVSOM combined with the fact that many of the builders are tied up building houses at the Homestead Resort and the Greenbrier Resort has contributed to a housing shortage.
