WASHINGTON (AP) -- Mortgage application volume increased 2.5% during the week ending April 11, according to the Mortgage Bankers Association's weekly application survey. The MBA's mortgage application index rose to 743.4 from 725.6 the previous week. Refinance volume increased 5.2% during the week, while purchase volume fell 0.8%. Expectations had been for the level of sales activity to moderate slightly by 0.6% to 4.86 million units from 4.89 million units in January. I have had about 4 different experiences where the lender involved in my transaction has almost lost the deal for me. I have had 2 times where the lender actually lost the deal for me. In all 6 instances it was lender neglect, something that they could have avoided but didn't or just overlooked. I would be sympathetic accept for the fact that I bust my tail to do my due diligence for my clients and to find the right property for them (sometimes months of work) and in 1 hour of a lazy lender who doesn't do the job I expect … (2 comments)
