As reported earlier as my 'can't miss' open house for Sunday March 9th, there was definitely a huge turnout by interested buyers today. The listing agent informed me that she has recieved 7 offers already and the deadline for offers will be Monday March 10th. She expects there possibley will be a few more offers turned in by the deadline. Camden Avenue was definitely buzzing today with 4 properties open for open house in 2 blocks of each other. I wanted to give an update to my listing at 10331 Tennessee Avenue LA CA 90064. The property has been in 'Looking for Backup' status. On Thursday March 6th the buyer removed all contingencies and has moved the status to 'Pending'. The sale looks to be complete and will close towards the end of the month. market update: Westside Market Update --Spotlight Cheviot Hills / Rancho Park-- - 12/21/07 04:02 AM
 
In no particular order, Cheviot Hills/Rancho Park is our next stop.  
Looking at the Year-To-Date numbers below, we see that the area is performing stronger than last year.  Sales volume shows a 28% increase and a median price rise of 5%.  The days on market, which is time spent on the open market before a home receives an accepted offer and goes into contract, was relatively the same with a 5% decrease of time spent on the open market.

I am beginning a series of market updates, where we take a look at the statistics of individual submarkets of the Westside.  The first city up is Santa Monica. Here we have divided the information into two categories, Single Family Homes and Condos.  
Taking a look at the numbers below, it appears Santa Monica is still performing well despite all the national media press on the downward spiral of Real Estate. Santa Monica remains a desirable location with limited real estate.
