advice: While You're Waiting for Your House to Sell--Clean It!

Okay, it's cold outside--in most places. Either way now is a great time to take care of some things on the inside while you are trying to sell your house--every little bit helps. For those you you not selling, these things will help keep your house in working order as well. One area I usually think I do a good job on is the kitchen, but I usually forget about the refridgerator. Pull the fridge out and clean in the back--nasty, I know, but necessary! When I started this profession I was eager to please--and broke. So, as you can imagine, I was quick to jump on the phone-either anwering it at the office or making the dreaded cold calls. I very quickly realized that all of a sudden my schedule was no longer mine--as soon as I started to obtain clients, they quickly sucked up my schedule in their vacuum cleaners. Okay, we all know that the economy isn't doing so well right now. The bad blairs from our televisions every minute--great ratings for them! But is all the news accurate and is it keeping buyers from buying and sellers from selling? I say yes. The media has created a fear--I think an unrealistic fear. Yes, in response to a failing economy, it may be a good idea to invest more conservatively and wait to sell a home so you don't take a bath on any equity you may have.
