I'm grateful to bring to the community my skills and experience to help folks with what may actually be the largest transaction they may make in their lives, and if not, it's certainly likely to be in the top ten!  Maybe it's just answering some questions, … (0 comments)

scott may: What happens to my ability to buy when the rates go up? - 09/27/16 09:40 AM
Friday's Wall Street Journal was the one to reed if you were interested in the the next days' comentary about why the rates didn't go up and when might they?  Economists vary as to why the rates have not gone up as of yet, but most agree that they will go up soon.
Every Tuesday morning I get together with a group of outstanding agents interested in learning more, being more efficient and most importantly, serving our clients better.  Generally we discuss in depth the process of real estate from every angle you can imagine.  This quarter we are focused in on … (1 comments)

scott may: Friends of the Guitar Hour: Upcoming Events - 09/23/16 06:38 AM

The Guitar Hour with Leon Atkinson on KPBX Spokane Public Radio
Here's a picture of Vern and Leon in the studio.  As a former radio On-Air Personality, I was excited as usual, to visit the studio and get some pictures.  There's something magical about being in a radio station.  I'm always amazed at how much more relaxed public radio is from the hustle and bustle of commercial stations.

Here's a picture from earlier in the year from last years Classical Guitar Series featuring Grammy Award and Nominee Artists Alex DeGrassi and Andrew York.  I volunteered with everything from getting coffee, folding programs, … (3 comments)

We always read about "the market" in the paper, or see, or hear about it on electronic media.  Most of the time the reference is to the over all average nationwide, but it's interesting to see that it really does vary from place to place depending on where you are.

scott may: Emerson-Garfield: Next Big Growth Area? - 09/19/16 11:06 AM
I believe so strongly in the future success of the Emerson-Garfield Neighborhood that I bought a home in the area investing in the improvements that have been planned and are on the way.  Already homeowners are making improvements and the commercial district along North Monroe is showing signs of what I might call "foundational" investment in what looks to be a beautiful revitalization that's been a long time in the making.

For those who may not be aware, the city has approved plans to redesign North Monroe from Indiana to the North Hill. North Monroe Improvement Project Plans include removing one lane in each … (0 comments)

Since day one in the business, I have been an actively involved with my office Ninja Sales group.  Last year I was formally installed as a Ninja agent and have a commencement certificate.  In a nut shell, Ninja is about being focused on Client needs rather than our own.  It's about providing more value above and beyond what we get in return.  It's about cooperating and helping others.  Self improvement is also a big component as well as building stronger friendships and relationships.
At a recent Ninja meeting we … (1 comments)

scott may: Spokane's University District Trail System - 09/09/13 02:02 PM

Spokane has a terrific trail system featuring miles upon miles of paved trails stretching out in all directions.  A few days ago I was out with a friend on what became a wet, but fun 15 mile ride or so, and stopped along this stretch of the Centennial Trail in the University District to snap this picture of a beautiful rainbow.

Trail users can take the Centennial Trail East from Spokane's River Front Park, downtown, all the way to Couer D'Alene Idaho, or head West along the Spokane River through Riverside State Park as far as 9-mile, or … (1 comments)

scott may: Sustainable Coffee In Spokane, the Gift of Fair Trade! - 08/30/13 05:09 AM
A good Real Estate Agent at a market leading powerhouse such as Coldwell Banker Tomlinson, gets really creative when it comes to closing gifts and such.  I have some pretty amazing friends who have referred a lot of people to me who wanted a good agent and I wanted to get them something they might really enjoy.  I finally got the perfect "ah-ha" moment and decided to get a bunch of fresh coffee direct from the roaster!

Roast House Coffee, is my favorite.  Three years in business, and local, they get their beans direct from the farm.  The beans are shade grown in the forest and … (1 comments)

Housing Picture Expected to Brighten in 2012 Daily Real Estate News | Thursday, November 17, 2011 Better times are ahead for the real estate market in the new year, according to several forecasts and recent surveys.
