spokane day trips: First Day of Fall - 09/22/16 11:20 AM
Well, it's official, this morning at 7:21 am Pacific time, Fall arrived in the Greater Spokane area.  You'd think it was the changing leaf colors that made this time of year change official...
But actually, what I noticed when I took these pictures a few days ago, was that even though it was warm out still, the beach was empty!
Riley Creek, is a really good "Best Kept Secret", located along US Hwy. 2 between Spokane and Sandpoint at Leclede along the Pend Oreille River / Lake Pend Oreille.  It features some really spectacular trail hiking, a great park, boat launch, rest rooms, … (3 comments)

Doesn't this look like the set straight out of Twin Peaks?

...and of course the pile of sustainables.  I had to get a shot of the lumber; this is what we make … (1 comments)

spokane day trips: Spokane Day Trip: Moscow Idaho - 06/01/10 08:38 AM

Here's a shot of Friendship Square in Downtown Moscow Idaho where I used to live in the early 1990's while I attended University of Idaho before transferring to Eastern Washington.  Every time I first get into town I can't wait to leap out of the car and walk around Main Street where these pictures were taken.

The banner talks about the Moscow Farmer's Market opening up soon.   School is already out so it's unusually quiet with the students away for break.
BookPeople is my favorite book store in the world.  I mean I enjoy Powell's in Portland, and love the … (0 comments)
