MARKET UPDATE and Report for MANCHESTER NH for January 2012With the start of February winter has only made spotty appearances with our days warmer than average. It has made for some great viewing weather for homes. Last week we saw our first increase in new homes coming on the market which was offset be the increase in Sales. December is usually a slower month for new listings so the large increase is expected for January.The new homes represent a lot of bank Owned homes that were Foreclosed after a long moratorium by Banks. reports: FORECLOSURE NUMBERS DROP for first half of 2011 - read the report

Foreclosure numbers in New Hampshire dropped 4.1% to 2102 for jan. 1, 2011 to June 30, 2011 based on the first half of 2010. The month of June 2011 saw 343 foreclosures compared to June 2010 which saw 377 according to the Registry review. However looking at the year as a whole 2011 is gearing up to hit the 4000 mark where 2010 had 4006 in a year that saw a halt to foreclsoures for 2 months while they worked on foreclosure reviews.Hillsborough county actually saw a rise in foreclosures to 103 compared to only 100 in 2010If you are behind in (2 comments)

With July 4th weekend come and gone, i was talking to other agents this morning about my couple of days off for the first time in a ong while. The one thing we all seemed to have in common was not a place i went where people know i am a Real Estate Broker in Southern NH, they all seemed to came up to ask me or comment on the current Real Estate market. The one thing in common is everyone knew someone who has suffered a foreclosure or is losing their home and everyone is bothered by how much value they lost.The common blame was (2 comments)
