thankful challenge: Thankfulness and Customer Appreciation - 11/27/17 05:00 PM
Customer appreciation, gratitude and thankfulness for the business my customers entrust me with is really something that I incorporate into every transaction and as part of after care and staying in touch after the the purchase or sale has been completed.
These gestures of appreciation include simple handwritten thank you notes, congratulatory notes for various occasions and the occasional quick visit or phone call to see how things are going.
And while I am doing that, I am often amazed that people genuinely seem to be surprised and pleased to hear from me. I think that's a good thing!
And speaking of customers, I … (34 comments)

thankful challenge: Thankful for Diligence - 11/22/17 01:36 PM
The best three words in real estate are "Clear to Close"!
When that happens, everyone knows home buyers will soon be able to move into their new home and sellers will soon be able to move on with their lives.
There is a lot of things that have to happen before we hear those words and especially buyers have to be diligent to follow all the directives and meet the demands of their lender.
I've been working with a family for the last several weeks on the purchase of their new waterfront home in Weeki Wachee Florida. It will be a dream come true … (7 comments)

thankful challenge: Thankful for Blooms and Butterflies in November - 11/21/17 09:54 AM
Today my inspiration comes from nature and the outdoors.
It's a bit of a cloudy day today - in fact, we are supposed to get a rainy Thanksgiving Day.  The clouds are keeping it nice and mild though.
I took a quick break from working and stepped outside for a some fresh air when I noticed that some of the flowers are still blooming away.
Just then, a butterfly came sailing along, visiting one bloom after another in search of some sweet nectar.
I watched him for a while before returning to my daytime routine, thankful for the pleasant interruption and for blooms and … (22 comments)

thankful challenge: Thankful for Trying Something New - 11/19/17 05:30 PM
Sometimes you have to experiment and try something new or different.
I never cared for cranberry sauce although I know that many people do like it. So while shopping the other day for Thanksgiving dinner items, I saw fresh cranberries and on a whim decided to buy some.
I didn't even know what I wanted to do with them nor did I have a recipe for them but I thought maybe I would make some sort of bread with fresh cranberries.
Once home, I decided to keep it simple and try a sauce. I cooked the cranberries according to the recipe on the … (21 comments)

thankful challenge: Thankful for the Luxury of Idle Time - 11/19/17 04:24 PM
Time is valuable and idle time is a luxury!
From morning to evening, we rush, rush, rush and often don't have the time to take a deep breath and get some rest.
Today after an early Thanksgiving dinner with friends, we went on a leisurely boat ride. There was nothing but fresh air, wind, waves, and water birds flying around.
It was quiet and peaceful as the boat was gliding through the water. We enjoyed the sights around us and our conversation.
There was nothing we had to do or needed to do. Even the dog had a good time.
It was just idle time … (16 comments)

thankful challenge: Florida Nature - Thankful for Beauty by the Fence - 11/06/13 09:50 AM
Florida Nature - Thankful for Beauty by the Fence
It was a pleasantly warm and sunny day on this November day here in Spring Hill, Florida, a perfect day to take photos for one of my new listings.
After I was done with the interior shots, I walked outside for the exterior photos.  That is when I noticed this beautiful vine draped over the privacy fence.
There are always little moments like this in every work day that make you stop to enjoy beauty around us - we just have to open our eyes to seem it.  So, today … (15 comments)
