Today, I had the opportunity to visit with the staff of the Hernando County Tourism Bureau for the official ribbon cutting ceremony with the Greater Hernando County Chamber of Commerce. This Hernando County visitor information center is located in a beautiful and very visible location for visitors of the Weeki Wachee Springs State Park who have an opportunity to learn about everything that Hernando County has to offer.

Sunday Reflections - Reflections in Glass This piece of glass art caught my eye at an art show in Weeki Wachee, Florida. The artist assembled an array of glass baubles and small irregular pieces of art glass into a new colorful show piece. Each one of these on their own would have not been much noticeable but as a unit, each had its place contributing to making the whole piece shine. Weeki Wachee Hosts Hernando County New Residents Reception The annual Hernando County New Residents Reception took place today at beautiful Weeki Wachee Springs State Park. With temperatures in the low 80s, the weather was just right for a leisurely stroll through the park grounds and talking to the many businesses and vendors that were present to introduce themselves and their services. Live entertainment by local entertainer Teri Lyons rounded out the experience. The event was sponsored by the Greater Hernando County Chamber of Commerce.

36th Annual Fall Harvest of Art and Weeki Wachee Springs State Park If you didn't have the time today to visit the 36th Annual Fall Harvest of Art that is presented by the Spring Hill Art League you will have another chance tomorrow, Sunday, November 21, 2009 from 10 AM to 4 PM. The parking lot was almost full when I arrived today around noon. Admission is only $4 a person, a huge discount over the regular admission.
