If you follow my Active Rain Blog, you probably know there are pilots in my household. So for us, being around airports large and small isn't an unusual experience. My better half is a former Public Affairs Officer, that among other things, was involved in organising and participating in a number of air shows over the years. They were always very well attended and that goes to show how much interest there is in aviation. Click For Larger Image Last fall I mentioned the construction of the above $1 billion M Resort and the Lightship it leased to prepare for it's opening. This past week owner Anthony Marnell III received final approvals from Nevada Gaming, and currently slated the opening for March 1, 2009. The approximately 390 room property will offer a Salon and Spa, nine restaurants, luxurious pool and Piazza concert area in addition to the casino. They are still hard at work on the property, and it's beginning to resemble a finished product. The landscaping and signs are going in as the structure gets it's (2 comments)
seven hills: Las Vegas Parade of Homes

Las Vegas Parade of Homes is a great opportunity for the public to see some of the most exclusive homes and neighborhoods in the area. Thirteen homes will welcome visitors to come into their homes. The tour began Friday April 18 and goes through Sunday May 4. The hours for the tour are 10AM to 6PM, Fridays through Sundays and the homes can be viewed in any order. Tickets are $25 and are available on the Parade of Homes website. The featured homes are located in The Ridges in Summerlin, Southern Highlands, Seven Hills, Roma Hills, MacDonald Highlands and Green Valley Estates. Read the (2 comments)
