While closed sales dropped 6.9% in January in Northern Beaufort County compared to January of 2013 the market factor continue to remain stable and should through 2014. The coming year should bring more construction, fewer foreclosure and increased sales activity. New listings also decreased from last January of last year, down 9%, 212 to 193. Inventories of homes continues to drop, down 16.7% for January of last year, from 1733 to 1443. A reason to indicate home values to increase. Median sales price did increase 8% up to $179,500. The Spanish Moss Trail in Beaufort SC is a project to turn the old Magnolia rail road line into a walking, biking, and jogging trail through the heart of this coastal town.
