After I see one of my neighbors at The Plain Grocery Store, that is what I hear. I reply "It's busy as ever...thank goodness." And they say"REALLY?" "But I heard on (The Today Show,Good Morning America,Fox News,MSNBC..take your pick) that things are bad. Well, don't believe everything you hear or read. That little expression rings so true with local real estate markets. Real estate is LOCAL..not national or even regional as far as I can see. I'm no expert...but I'm seeing tons of interest in our area and in the Chelan/Douglas county real estate market in general. I am in the mode … (3 comments)

Things have been busy here in Plain! Last week we picked up tons of new listings just in time for Memorial day weekend.I don't have numbers yet...but I will be checking. The hardware store and the grocery store were packed with folks visiting(working on) their cabins and people on vacation enjoying the area. Looks like gas prices didn't affect things much around here. I showed 7 homes on Saturday and 1 on Sunday. I will be writing offers today on 2 of them today. Ironically, the 2 I am writing on happen to be For Sale By Owner properties that are woefully underpriced. As … (4 comments)

What is this about? It's about Plain Washington of course! This is my first blog and I hope to enlighten you about the hidden(well almost) treasure that is Plain. Plain is located about 15 miles north of Leavenworth Wa. in a valley in the Central Cascades. The "town" consists of Just Plain Grocery,Plain Hardware and Beaver Valley Lodging and Storage.
