Attention St. Louis, Missouri homeowners:
Laclede gas is offering a rebate for energy star thermostats and high efficiency furnaces and boilers. The rebate forms are available at most hardware stores including Lowes and Home Depot.
The rebate for an Energy Star rated thermostat is $25.00
The rebate for a gas boiler with an A.F.U.E greater than or equal to 90% is $150.00
The rebate for a gas furnace with an A.F.U.E greater than or equal to 92% but less than 96% is $150.00

energy star appliances: The Show Me State Green Sales Tax Holiday

The Show Me State has declared the week of April 19, 2009 a sales tax holiday for all green purchases. Now what does this mean to the consumer? If you were planning on purchasing a new energy star certified appliance from the following list during this week, you would be exempt from the Missouri state sales tax. The appliance cannot cost more than $1500. You are allowed, however, to purchase more than one.
