I will be saving this post for future reference. Our clients can gather valuable information for a DIY whether they are selling or remodeling for their own use. Even if they hire a professional for the entire project, a lot can be gleaned from this post! In number 5, I would emphasize to my clients to make sure permits are pulled. Talk directly to the department that handles permits and inspections....depending on the type of remodel. I have seen way to many remodels that are not permitted creating additional problems down the road.
