Xmas Eve Video It started snowing around 2:30 PM and by 3 :15 PM there was already an inch of snow on the ground. We were watching the "Family Man" Xmas movie and the kids decided to leave to make sure they could get home OK. As I write this it is still snowing. We will see how much snow is out there tomorrow. It was heavy wet snow so it will be interesting what it looks like!

Arizona Biltmore Gingerbread House & Train Display A Short "Christmassy" Video Tuesday - I had a chance to visit the Arizona Biltmore. It was a very pleasant 74º down in Phoenix. Only south Florida was warmer! I will share some additional pictures of this unique architecture inspired by the famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright in a later post. The architect of record is Albert Chase McArthur but F. L. Wright consulted on the project for four months in 1928. McArthur was a student and protegee of Wright.

Cures For The Holiday Hangover As most of you know, it has been raining since early Monday out here in the West. So we have had gloomy and grey skies along with pockets of heavy rain and also light drizzle. After having a free New Year's Day, I was looking forward to the new year. Then the grey, wet gloom came. During the Christmas and holiday season many local programs and events take place for our enjoyment. This is one of those events that thousands of hours of preparation went in to make it one of the most magical of the holiday season. There are actually 2 events currently going on right now at the Desert Botanical Gardens.

Snowbirds Love This Kind Of Weather! Does this mean a White Christmas? Probably not... We have not had a White Christmas since we lived here full time, at least 10 years. But the chance that it could happen would be amazing. Our snow, even large amounts does not last long, usually the next day most of it is already melted. It would have to snow on Christmas Eve or morning to qualify for a White Christmas. None-the-less... Hosting Free Thanksgiving Dinner to Sedona Community
One of Sedona's busiest breakfast/lunch eateries, famous for their 101 omelettes continues with it's Coffeepot Thanksgiving community tradition of serving a FREE authentic Thanksgiving Day dinner to the Sedona community on Wednesday November 25th starting at 3 PM. Residents from all Sedona neighborhoods participate every year excited to enjoy this wonderful meal hosted by Emile Daher, his family and long time employees. The Sedona Formula The Change of Seasons Coming from Southern California where the leaves turn brown during November and either blow off or fall off the trees, we never really experienced the change of seasons. Warm Santa Ana winds would let you know November was upon us.
