boss mortgage lending: How to figure out when it makes sense to refinance your mortgage - 02/04/16 04:20 AM

2 major types of refinances are:
Rate-and-term refinancing to save money. Typically, you refinance your remaining balance for a lower interest rate and a term you can afford. (The term is the number of years it will take to repay the loan.)
Cash-out refinancing, in which you take out a new mortgage for more than you owed. You take the difference in cash or you use it to pay off existing debt.

Existing single-family homes, townhomes, condominiums, and co-op apartments were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 5.36 million units in October compared to 5.55 million in September.  Despite the month-over-month dip sales were still higher than a year ago by 3.9 percent.  Analysts were expecting sales to be at a 5.4 … (14 comments)
