Question is - What's in your car? What tools do you carry with you in real estate. Whether it is nicely packed into a LL Bean canvas tote, in an actual toolkit, or just rolling around in the trunk of your car, we all have things we need in the day to day business of real estate.
Cable ties - They are handy in so many situations. From anchoring an open house sign to a pole so it won't fly away to making sure the brochure box is solidly attached. Use just one or chain them together to be as long … (4 comments)

real estate agents marketing advice: You think you have nothing to blog about? - 01/28/09 02:30 AM
Do you ask yourself some version of this question on a fairly regular basis. I suppose when in doubt you can always fall back to blogging about your listings but I have never really felt this was a good blog. Always seems like more of a Postlet activity. Blogs I have found that work for me when I know I have nothing to write about is what has sold in my local market. People are very interested in what has sold and for how much. Simple and informative. But lacking in some way.
But keeping in mind that content is king on the internet you … (14 comments)

real estate agents marketing advice: Are You a Marketing Specialist or General Practioner? - 02/19/08 12:28 AM
Focus your marketing campaigns by finding your niche. After all you wouldn't go to a tax lawyer when you need a real estate lawyer to write a deed. So why be an "everything" agent when you can carve out your piece of the market to dominate. Wouldn't it be great if anytime someone thought of luxury homes yours was the first name that came to mind? Or you were known as the area condo expert? You can come up with a lot of examples for any area of what makes it special. Creating specialized web site is so easy today you can … (9 comments)

real estate agents marketing advice: Anniversary Cards to Celebrate Home Buying Anniversary - 01/21/08 01:08 AM
We are always looking for another way to remind our clients that we are still in the business and to ask for referrals. As the years go by this list gets longer but it is a great way to stay in touch.
There are several ways to set up a tickler file for this mailing. One simple way is to keep a separate calendar that you write … (19 comments)
