christmas: Having So Much Fun with My Home

I absolutely love Christmas time but this year is especially exciting. This time last year I was packing up my house in pre-foreclosure. After 18 months of faxes, copies, phone calls, copies and more copies...this year, my loan modification is final and I get to continue to enjoy my home. I didn't buy it only as an investment but as a place to call my own, to enjoy, to share with those I love and it was horrendous to think of losing that. As you decorate for the Holidays, be mindful of small children who live with you or may come to visit. Keep poisonous poinsettias and sharp holly leaves out of small children’s reach or do away with them completely. Candles set a warm and cozy mood, but they can be a fire or burn hazard for curious young ones. Be sure to keep candles, lighters, and matches out of harm’s way.
