Orange Park Country Club (formal name is Country Club of Orange Park) in Orange Park, Florida is a guard-gated community located off Blanding Boulevard a few miles south of I-295. The community was originally developed by Stokes Land Group, a well-known Jacksonville developer who developed many other communities including Marsh Landing Country Club in Ponte Vedra and destination communities at Amelia Island. Magnolia Point Golf & Country Club in Green Cove Springs, Florida is a lovely community just off Highway 17 as you cross Governor's Creek bridge. Magnolia Point was developed in the 1980s. It was the second guard-gated golf and country club in the area, following the popular Ravines Golf & Country Club. Both courses were designed by Mark McCumber of Ponte Vedra Beach. I remember when Magnolia was brand new and seemed so far out! Now it's just down the road since Fleming Island was developed. After 15 years, East West Partners has turned the reins of the Eagle Harbor golf, tennis and swim amenities over to Hampton Golf. Now that 99% of our community is built out, the CDD Board felt it was time for a change and they took the time to research and inquire of the residents via a public meeting to ask and answer questions back in the Spring.
