'Saltimbanco' debuted in 1992 under the big top and has been re-choreographed for indoors. If you haven't seen Cirque de Soleil, 'Saltimbanco' is the essence of Cirque de Soleil. It's that time again, Florida-Georgia weekend and Jacksonville is flooded with motor homes, boats, busy hotels, and people just looking to have a good time. Dubbed "The World's Biggest Cocktail Party," it is a week-long fest.
We saw motor homes rolling through town as early as Tuesday making their way to RV City to camp under the expressway and by the St. Johns River. Every two years, the Jacksonvile Naval Air Station hosts the Blue Angels. The Blue Angels were founded here and there's always a big turnout even on a cloudy day. Low cloud cover forced the Angels to switch their normal routine.
Most of our family went by boat, anchoring out in the St. Johns River in front of the Base. Hundreds of families were there enjoying the day and watching the show.
