I'm getting concerned folks. The Temecula, CA., Oakridge Homeowners Association website has been down for at least 11 days now. It is concerning me because as property owners we need to be kept 'in the loop' regularly of the plans and the details of our Association. Last week, July 27th, 2011 at the monthly meeting the Board members told us the trails are going to be bladed soon and the contractors are going to have a fire truck following along to ensure fire safety should a rock create a spark. If you’ve ever lived in a community with a Homeowner’s Association, you already know it is the biggest political challenge ever undertaken. It’s worse than the city, county, state or even federal bureaucrats. Unfortunately Oakridge is no different. No one remembers what happened before the latest election. So…the new directors make dreadful business decisions without any training and with precious little experience in running an organization and often the directors act and spend precious dollars without consulting those they are elected to serve.
