North Haven Gardens is hosting an Herb Fest for Dallas gardeners this weekend. Friday evening the garden center will remain open from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Staff will be sharing recipes for herbal cocktails, beginning at 5:00 PM. The first cocktail recipe that comes to mind with herbs is a Mint Julep. Mint grows well in Dallas. In spite of the rain we've had in the Dallas area this winter, we are still in a drought, with many local area lakes significantly below normal. Spring is almost here and North Haven Gardens is ready to help with all your garden needs. This is my favorite gardening store because the staff is knowledgeable on so many garden topics. The garden center carries a large number of organic gardening supplies, along with beneficial insects that can help protect your garden plants from garden pests.
This Saturday, March 1, North Haven Gardens will be open at 7:00 AM for the Rose Festival. Shoppers can choose from more than 200 varieties of roses.

Today I shopped at one of my favorite stores in Dallas, Nicholson-Hardie, a family owned business since 1899. What an uplifting experience!
