Texas A&M AgriLife Research and City of Dallas Water Conservation are sponsoring two FREE workshops Saturday May 14. Patrick Dickinson, a licensed irrigator and horticulturalist will present both workshops. Although rain has been plentiful in Dallas this Spring, it's important to remember that we must maximize every drop of water we use on our lawns and in our garden for the months when rain is less plentiful.

As Summer approaches, Dallas, homeowners become more dependent on sprinklers and sprinkler systems to keep their lawns healthy and green. It's important to remember and follow the City of Dallas Watering Schedule, in place from April 1, 2014 to October 31, 2014. Homeowners are allowed to use their sprinkler system or water with a sprinkler attached to a hose twice a week. After watering twice per week last year, I found that my lawn looked healthier.
