Dallas' Veterans Day Ceremonies will begin with the massing of the colors at 11:00 AM, in front of Dallas City Hall. U.S. Congressman Pete Sessions will be the keynote speaker at the ceremony. The Veterans Day Parade will follow the City Hall activities. This year, the parade them is "Commemorating the 70th Anniversary of the End of World War II." I'm thrilled to write that the "Terrence Blanchard & Friends" benefit concert is sold out. This event celebrates NPower's vision and commitment to serve Dallas Veterans through NPower's free IT training program and the Dallas area business leaders who continue to turn the vision into reality. The Greater North Texas tech Community, PepsiCo and 7-Eleven are key to the success of NPower's program, Technology Service Corps. I can't think of a better celebration than one that includes Grammy award-winner Terence Blanchard on the trumpet! Currently, NPower can train approximately 100 Dallas area veterans per year. veterans dallas: Frontiers of Flight Museum - Film Screening

The documentary film, "4-4-43," will be screened at Frontiers of Flight Museum on Saturday, November 8. This educational and inspirational film, directed by John Lukacs, documents the escape of POWs from a Japanese Army prison. Prior to this incredible escape, the Japanese soldiers were certain that prisoners could not breach Japanese security. The U.S. War Department referred to this event as the "Greatest Story of the War in the Pacific." The escape took place "4-4-43."
Museum visitors are invited to the screening at 2:00 PM, on Saturday. Filmmaker, Lukacs will be available after the screening to answer audience questions.
