home staging cost: Should Home Stagers Offer A Discount If A Staged Home Doesn't Sell? - 04/28/16 10:47 PM
I was at a meeting with some newbie home stagers last week and one of them asked about giving guarantees to sellers.
She wondered if stagers ever offer a discount if the property doesn't sell in a certain amount of time.
I've never heard of such a deal. Neither had any of the other three seasoned stagers that were there.
Home staging is a service. Yes, some service providers offer guarantees, but only when they have control over their service.
With home staging, there are too many variables that the home stager has no control over.

Here are just a few examples of things that … (58 comments)

NH Home Staging FAQ - How Much Does A Staging Consult Cost?

Home Staging services and fees in New Hampshire vary.  Some stagers charge hourly, some by square footage, some have half day and full day rates.  Home Staging may involve rental of all new furniture or it may involve using what the homeowner has on hand.  You can hire a stager to do all the work or to do a "walk through" consult providing a personalized, detailed "to-do" list.
It's not always expensive.  There are levels of service to fit all budgets.

How Much Does Home Staging Cost in New Hampshire?
Even with all the media coverage, Home Staging still remains a mystery for most New Hampshire sellers, with many believing Home Staging is a service they can't afford.
Home Staging is often perceived as expensive, involving all new furniture and major construction...costing thousands of dollars.  Adding to the confusion, many home stagers do not list their fees on their website.  If people have to inquire further to find out how much something costs, they will usually assume it's expensive.

home staging cost: What Does Home Staging Cost In Portsmouth New Hampshire? - 07/26/09 03:52 PM
What does home staging cost in Portsmouth New Hampshire?  For many New Hampshire sellers the concept of home staging remains a fairly new concept, even though it has become very common in other parts of the country.

Even with all the television shows and media attention, there is still alot of misunderstanding when it comes to the subject.

Many sellers are under great financial stress and truly believe they can't afford this service.

home staging cost: The Forty Dollar Home Staging Room Makeover - 07/18/09 07:43 AM
Here is just one quick example of how much of an improvement you can make with the addition of a professional home stager to your team.  Home staging works in all price ranges, in all neighborhoods, and in all budgets.

Perfect example:
This bedroom was dated and felt crowded.  Valuable features of the room were not being highlighted.

No furniture was brought in, and the budget for accessories was limited.
Cost for new sheets and new lamp: $41
Removing the rug, exposed the valuable wood floor.  Moving the beds created more space.

I would have liked to replace the curtains with long shear panels, but the budget was such … (34 comments)

home staging cost: My two cents worth on "What Does Staging Cost?" - 02/07/08 12:00 PM
I just read a post by Amie Chaney, What Does Staging Cost?
I am sure that Amie had no idea when she wrote it what direction the comments were going to go.  I started to add a comment and soon realized that my "comment" was getting rather lengthy and needed a post of its own.
I agree with Amie that sellers really cannot afford NOT to stage their homes to sell.  It is very frustrating to hear that a client "cannot afford" to stage and then watch as the price is reduced by $20,000 a few months later.
When you consider the mortgage payment, insurance, and utility … (14 comments)
