Two months ago, I wrote a blog about ways to help Peoria's pet population. At the time, the Arizona Humane Society was doing a Match Grant Challenge, where every donation was matched dollar for dollar up to the amount of $10,000. I thought that was a really excellent program and a great time to make a donation. With the money I was donating, I was able to help with the care of twice as many pets as normal and that is never a bad thing, right? Today I learned that the Arizona Humane (0 comments)

Helping Peoria's Pet Population I am a pet lover. I find that most people are. Whenever I pass a pet adoption event, I can't stop myself from looking. I am always saddened by the idea of a dog or cat without a family or a home. Unfortunately, with two dogs and three cats at home, I know I can't adopt any more. I think part of being a responsible pet owner is knowing your limitations...knowing how much you can handle and how much you can afford. Yet I still look. And wonder.
