Every time we disparage the state of the economy and talk about the terrible state of real estate, we create a self fulfilling prophesy. It is my view that if we are positive, then positive things will happen. There are great opportunities in the market and it is time to stress the positive, and put a bow on it.

Sunday afternoon may be my favorite time at Tanglewood. It is easy and light and when the weather is good, as it is today, there is the opportunity to pick a great spot on the lawn and take in the whole atmosphere. YoYo Ma, the renowned cellist, is here today and will be performing, an all Tchaik...

Like most of us, when it rains we look to get out of it. It isn't always easy but we do the best we can. Insects are no different and because many are fragile they need to be more creative and more creative quickly. The other day, I saw this one and wanted to get a close up but before I could foc...

I know I live in a special area that is frequented by many famous people and celebrities, many of whom live here or own homes here. Lat night I gave a program to Alan Alda, and today I ran into Chris Noth at an Antique Show. So I guess I'm on a run and wondering who I will meet tomorrow. I'll kee...

I love antiques! Enjoying flea-markets and yard sales is wonderful. Today however, I am going to the longest continuously running antique show in Massachusetts. Before I moved to the Berkshires many cautioned me that living somewhere can be very different than vacationing there. These folks were ...

This evening I am working at another venue at Tanglewood: Ozawa Hall. Unlike the Shed the aura is different there. It is a smaller and yet significantly more formal place. Named after Serge Ozawa, conductor of the Boston Symphony for years, this theater is beautiful and amazing in its acoustics a...

Ever feel like there was just too much going on? Well I do today, and I'm headed off to Tanglewood on Parade: a whole day loaded with music of every kind, four orchestras, three choirs and many many other types of groups in concert and strolling the grounds. It should be some day, night and then ...

There are so many things we encounter that appear to be beyond the scope of our ability to conquer. In real estate however, as in life, if you want it enough you can generally turn desire into reality. How do you do it? You focus, you get serious, you prioritize and you save like there is no tomo...

I was ready to take my three out and I looked outside and saw an old dog next door in obvious distress. I called to the dog and she she stopped and I brought her, by encouragement, to my place where I gave her water and checked her tags. I put a leash on her and tried to walk her up the hill but ...

It must be an anomaly but I am no longer alone in this. I comment and come back and I have lost 17 points. I see this at least a half dozen times a day. I have written about this before and many said they have experienced this as well. It is really frustrating and staff can't explain it. I am not...
