Every time we disparage the state of the economy and talk about the terrible state of real estate, we create a self fulfilling prophesy. I have a really nice neighbor who lives behind me. He used to work for a contractor I used and has always been kind and willing to help with the little things I couldn't do myself. He was able to put a screw into a chair I had that was otherwise usable. Perhaps I'll get another season out of it b...
I live in a small town in western Massachusetts where the cast of animals seems endless. I had never seen a live bear until one was walking up the street a couple of years ago. There are fox, possum, wild turkeys, squirrels of every variety, deer, huge snapping turtles, wolves, coyote, and every ...

My area is big for visitors throughout the year but Easter is really the beginning of our heavy season. I expect it will quiet this morning but ...
I had a good day yesterday. I was out early with my gang to the "new" groomer. They love it there. So many dogs of every size, and they are happy all and hang out and play together. I have never seen anything like it. They hang out either behind the front counter or in the grooming room. I am luc...
Yesterday he was just hanging around on the roof of my shed. He seemed to be content and I watched and listened to him for some time before going for the camera. I never expected him to be still there once I came back, but he waited. I call this one Chirpi because he sings and is comfortable wher...
As I look out my window for the first time this season I see green grass. It makes me happy but today and for the next several days it will be overcast and rainy. It is the rain that makes the grass green so I will nod to Mother Nature and wait to get in the yard again.
