There are several other reasons to consider putting your home on the market during the holidays:
1. Many home buyers have extra time off during the holiday season so they have more time to look for their new home.
2. Because of … (1 comments)

christmas: Is It Time to Say Goodbye? - 09/22/14 11:32 PM

With the holidays upon us, I was thinking about all the left over food there is bound to be on everyone's table next week ( and and Christmas as well). How long do you keep your leftovers? Which items are safe to keep at all? I actually found this really cool website that will tell you item by item.. It is called Still Tasty..  It even has some really cool tips on what you can freeze and what things last forever..

For instance, did you know that there are many foods that will last forever? Some of those are … (7 comments)

christmas: Fresh Tomatoes Anyone? (Even in December) - 12/18/10 01:54 PM
I remember living in Southern California and Charlie having a little garden. He grew broccoli and tomatoes, and that is all because that is all the space he had to work with. The broccoli was delicious but fairly sort lived, but the tomatoes…ahh the tomatoes. He planted them as small plants in March, and we had to dig up the plants at the end of December because we were moving. They were still bearing fruit, and plenty of it. I remember being amazed that we could have fresh tomatoes in December.
Now, our daughter has a tomato plant in her … (9 comments)

christmas: BLACK FRIDAY!!! - 11/26/10 09:17 AM
Did you know that many online retailers do the whole Black Friday thing just like their retail counterparts in the mall and elsewhere around the shopping world? Yep. They sure do, and I take advantage of this convenience every year. But don’t get me wrong…I am not saying that I opt for the online shopping over the mall and other real life stores. Uh–no. If fact I spend most of my day with my daughter kicking around the stores, people watching…and we always have the best time. I buy very little, but I always walk away with new and greater insights … (6 comments)

christmas: What's next? Opening on CHRISTMAS DAY??? Gimme a break!!! - 11/16/10 12:35 PM
Well, ready or not, here we go >>> It’s the  HOLIDAY  SEASON!!!  Or at least that’s what it sounds like everywhere! The malls, hair salons, certain restaurants…are already playing Christmas music continuously, and have been for a couple of weeks now. I remember years ago when we thought it was an outrage that the stores and malls started decorating a week or so before Thanksgiving;  it seemed like such a travesty. Haha. Now we are lucky to get Halloween in before the Christmas stuff goes up and the music starts.
So it sounds like the Holiday Season out there, but does … (8 comments)

christmas: THANKSGIVING? IN LESS THAN TWO WEEKS? SERIOUSLY? - 11/12/10 10:30 AM
Is it even possible that Thanksgiving is less than two weeks from today? Good grief! It really is true what they say about time seeming to slip away more quickly the older you get, isn’t it? Wow. It started when I was twenty eight, but since I turned twenty nine, man…zoom, zoom!
So, I guess it’s time to start building a menu, and buying stuff to put together for our annual family celebration. I will have to get on that very soon, for sure. And by “I,” I mean my husband. HaHa! Oh…you thought I cooked? BAAHAHAHAA!!!  (Sorry, that always makes … (7 comments)
