Modification , Short Sales, or Foreclosures, do they end up the same?
I know so many homeowners confident that they are in the midst of a modification and therefore don't have to worry about their homes. These poor people are misguided in their thinking. Many of these people have been foreclosed during a trial modification or in the middle of getting one.

Short Sales, Foreclosures and the Los Angeles Real Estate Market. It doesn't look like a recovery is going to happen in the next two-three years. There are too many homes that are in the foreclosure stage. This will continue to increase inventory. The banks are still not releasing much of their inventory in the Los Angeles area, so the decline will probably only be about a 1-3% drop. The hot new topic is, "Should the banks be writing down principals."  Many government officials, banks and investors are all weighing the pros and cons of this alternative.  Of course, the bankers and the investors would only proceed with this scenario if it was beneficial to them.  However, it appears important for government officials to curb the amount of defaults entering the market.
