By far the best thing that I did for my business in 2011 was to sign up for and implement what I learned from the IMSD (Internet Marketing Specialist Designation Course)  I have been a technology trainer in real estate for the past 15 years.  Last year when I met Ben Kinney I decided it would be better for me to endorse his program than to try come up with training material on own because these guys have it mastered!

That's right, I said it!  As a matter of fact I've been saying it for at least 15 years (mostly to myself).  I remember a conversation I had with a fellow agent years ago where he asked; "Why do you help everyone and tell them how to do what you are doing?"  Without even thinking about it or realizing how true it would hold up to be I shrugged my shoulders and said "Because most people are never going to do it and those that DO make the effort deserve the help"

As funny as this video is it is also sad to see watch.  I am relatively active in most of the major social media sites and often find agents pushing their services and houses on people in their social network.  As you watch this video think about how important it is to listen and what we could learn if we practiced being Wordless more than just on Wednesday.

Our customer of tomorrow is being trained at a young age.  They are also being conditioned to like our brand because we have tools they want to use.  My 2 year old only wants to shop at Food Lion because they have the "lil cart"  As much as I would like to shop at Harris Teeter it is met with total resistence by the decision maker in our house just because they don't have the tools.

Happy Twitter Tuesday!  Tweetlister is the Twitter Treat of the week!
My 2 year old loves Tuesdays.  It is amazing that at such a young age we can get used to routine and expect the same things to occur at the same time.  Every morning when we drive to daycare she tells me what they are going to have for morning snack.  She asks what day is it and I tell her Tuesday.  She says "Yah!" and claps her hands.  The rest of the way to daycare she is is saying "toast" which means she wants french toast.  Apparently they have … (21 comments)

What is the Twitter thingy anyway?  And "what does THAT have to do with real estate?"  There is a large number of top real estate professionals using Twitter so there must be something to this Tweeting right?
