It's a really nice space, the only downside--it's on the THIRD FLOOR of a FOUR STORY WALK UP BUILDING! Nice bathroom, small, but quaint! Ok, so the kitchen is slightly dated, but it is functional and the price is hard to beat! ONE MONTH BROKER FEE

jersey city: It was a tough day at the office - 12/08/10 01:51 PM
There are a lot of changes going on at DBB Realty, some pleasant and some not so pleasant.  The broker's are really trying to motivate us, positively and to some negatively.  Irregardless, we do have a TON of vacanies at Liberty Harbor over at 30 Regent St Jersey City, NJ 07302 and 9 Regent St Jersey City, NJ 07302.
It seems like we have have a new account, the buildings will be more for middle to lower income clients.  Quite frankly I can't wait to get the new inventory in, we will have places in Jersey City, Irvington, Newark and another … (0 comments)

jersey city: So I was with this customer today... - 11/29/10 01:22 PM
She wanted a ONE BEDROOM downtown, on the water for $1500 per month, ok, so after I talked her off the ledge I explained that there was no building on the water with a one bedroom for $1500.  So we looked at an apartment at 9 Regent St Jersey City, NJ 07302.  Nice duplex one bedroom for $1900, then there was another duplex for $1875 on the corner with all windows as the side wall.
I have to tell you I am more than happy to find the lowest priced apartment for my customer/client, but you have to be realisitic.  I … (0 comments)

jersey city: Up and out busy day ahead, the haters are rearing their ugly heads... - 11/18/10 10:36 PM
It has been a great week so far, got a busy day scheduled today, hopefully close a couple more deals before the holiday.  I was lamenting a couple days ago about how slow it was, well, actually was I lamenting or just making an observation?  Regardless, it hasn't been a bad week overall.  I have several showings today in North Bergen, NJ and obviously Jersey City, NJ.
I have a new protege who has joined us from a competing firm.  She looks to be promising, she is a computer geek evidently as I am so she should do pretty well with … (2 comments)

jersey city: I gotta say it's getting slow... - 11/16/10 01:56 PM
After a phenomenal summer, it is starting to slow down.  I am now servicing Hoboken, NJ; Weehawken, NJ; North Bergen, NJ.  This time of the year I'm not going to be turning away any business.  Areas such as The Heights in Jersey City are areas which I formerly wouldn't work in, but now hey the rents are pretty affordable up there as opposed to downtown proper.  It's just the Heights are so inconvenient to transportation, as most people want to be minutes from the PATH into Manhattan.
I previewed a phenomenal apartment building today.  The Simone at 85 Maple St Weehawken, … (0 comments)

jersey city: Another Great Week in Jersey City, NJ - 06/07/10 12:24 AM
Ok, I was away for a little while, away meaning busy beyond all belief!  I had an interesting week last week, let's see, where should I begin?  I will start at the beginning of the week.  My client for the duplez in the Greenville are of Jersey City had issue with her credit report, we met with the management company which I believe smotthed everything out.  Even though there were 'issues' with her credit, I believe since she met the management company they realized that she was a legitimate person and not a 'flake.'  I was very happy when we were … (0 comments)

jersey city: Another day, another dollar? - 05/16/10 03:06 PM
Had an easy day today, only three appointments...
Started out by going to 225 Grand Jersey City, NJ 07302 with my clients, very nice couple with a 3 week old, the building was great as usual. I was scolded by the marketing director there--AGAIN!  Turns out I can't use my interior shots, so I had to remove all of my ads for the building.  It's really frustrating, but I have to do what is right for the company.

Ok, so then we were off to Portside Towers Jersey City, NJ 07302.  We saw the only 1002 sq ft single … (1 comments)

jersey city: 225 Grand St Jersey City, NJ 07302 - 05/12/10 04:44 PM
I have to tell you I was in one of the most beautiful building in Jersey City today.  225 Grand St, is the newest luxury rental building in Jersey City.  It site directly across from our office.  I had my first appointment in there today and it was quite the treat.  The building is gorgeous.  The finishes are qurtz countertops, cherrywood cabinets and stainless steel appliances.  The prices are really great also, we saw a 746 sq ft one bedroom apartment for $1844, which is a prettygood but for downtown Jersey City.

The apartments are grea, I believe they … (6 comments)

jersey city: Short Term Rentals - 05/09/10 01:39 AM
I regret that there are times when I really can't help find an apartment.  Short term rentals are usually the case, most landlords/management companies DO NOT want to do a short term rental.  Why you ask?  I think it's fairly obvious, a landlords thinking must be like this "why should I rent out my place for 4 months when I can get someone to rent it for a year?"
I personally think that is extremely short sighted, since I would like to have my place rented--PERIOD!  If I could guarantee myself some income albeit for 4 or 5 or 6 months, … (2 comments)

jersey city: Really Busy Week - 05/09/10 01:29 AM
I am extremely embarrassed that I fell asleep on the exclusive listings in our office.  These are moderately priced apartments in Jersey City, NJ, several are in the downtown area, a couple in Paulus Hook.  I did 3 deals this week and have 2 more in the hopper.  I've been running around renting apartments at Liberty Towers, 70 Greene, Hudson Pointe, Newport, Grove Pointe and 50 Columbus and these gems were sitting there being ignored by me.
Obviously we are all watching what we spend on houing as well as anything else, but these apartments are really a deal.  Do you … (0 comments)

jersey city: Very Busy Week - 04/16/10 02:28 PM
I have several LEGITIMATE buyer clients--WOOHOO!  The rentals are paying the bills right now, I'm a little bummed that I didn't get to take some listings this week.
We had our Hudson Valley Realtor COnvention this ast week.  Everything went extremely well.  I am very excited for the chairperson of our committee, it really was with her passion and exuberance that she actually made it happen.  Judging from the reactions so far everything went very well.  The planning for next years convention will seemingly be right around the corner before you know it.

I will write about my ins and outs of days in the fast paced world of Real Estate. I work from the NJ side, where I have access to BOTH NY and NJ. The market moves so fast, look at it today, and if you like it, get an application in--if it's a good one, it's gone as soon as we walk out the door!
