parenting a teen: going out...?

My son he's 16 , cute as can be smart , respectful and has access to the key I raised him well and now I must see that someday some other girl will replace me..... he asked her last night and without a fight she jumped at the chance to continue to dance what does this all mean to me, I wonder how far something like this could be? Remembering 16 , behind the stall my first kiss was given with out even a call that boy sure hurt me but found out by mail, to look him up now that boy is in Jail I have raized him the best that i beleive (4 comments)

One of my biggest pet peeves is when someone sees a child behaving well and they look at the parent's of that child and say, "You're so lucky to have such a good kid."
No! They're not LUCKY, blessed maybe, but don't diminish the time and effort that that parent puts into their child by labeling it luck. When I see a child who is well behaved, picks up after themselves, listens to his/her parents, etc, I think, "Wow, they not only put the time in to teach that child right from wrong but they also have modeled the behavior (8 comments)
