Bonners Ferry Bannana Belt with 16 hours of sunlight during summer months.
I often hear from people that Bonners Ferry Idaho is so far north and close to Canada that it must be hard to grow things. What a treat to know that Bonners Ferry is a Bananna belt. No we don't grow bananas or oranges here but just about everything else. Bonners Ferry actually has a surprisingly "long" growing season with a zone 4 rating and an average of 128 frost-free days, due to its relatively low elevation of 1,790 feet.
