The back pack program originally started when a school nurse realized that many children were relying on their school lunches and not getting enough food on the weekends. The school started sending grocieries home in paper bags but the children were being picked on by the more fortunate kids. They got the idea of filling backpacks with the food so that the children would not be singled out.

One of my favorite pasttimes is my coffee on the front porch watching the wildlife go by. I have several major game trails in my yard as the wildlife makes its way down to the river. They are always so neat to watch.
