bartlett agent: Bartlett IL Real Estate - What's the housing market doing now? - 02/21/12 07:12 AM
Slow and Steady goes our Northwest Suburban Real Estate Market for the 10th consecutive month. We are moving ahead with recovery here and sales have successfully reached above the 2010 level of closings. For the month of January, Bartlett Single Family Home closings are now 25% above last year and Bartlett Multi-Family are now up 20% over the same period.  For Bartlett there are still no price gains calculated with foreclosures still leading the way in current sales.  What is promising is that in a few different surrounding markets the average sales prices are now going up.  If all goes well, our … (0 comments)

Every winter sellers begin to think about moving and putting their homes on the market 'IN THE SPRING'.  This post from Lisa Udy, in Utah gives a perspective on waiting to list your home or doing a price reduction can actually cost you more money.
Are you 'chasing' or setting the market for your home?  Did you wait on an advised price reduction?
More homes are always put on the market in the Spring months and who knows what the 'market' will hold this year of 2010?  It used to be the norm but who knows now?  What used to be … (3 comments)

bartlett agent: Bartlett Illinois Market Update - April 2009 - 04/22/09 02:42 AM
Well lately we’ve heard some media buzz that improvement is happening in the Bartlett Market and I just wanted to let you know that YES – it seems to be true!

So for the 1st quarter of 2009 .............. we’ve had 36 properties close – YIPPEE.

Why am I enthusiastic?  Because Bartlett is doing better than the surrounding towns of Schaumburg and Hoffman Estates as far as number of sales and in higher prices.  The graphs show us that obviously the first time buyers are spurring along the market in the lower price ranges all thruout the Northwest Suburbs.  The majority of … (0 comments)

bartlett agent: Bartlett Illinois Village Profile - 12/01/08 03:56 AM
Bartlett is a great small community located in Cook, DuPage and a small part in Kane Counties. The population was 40,344 by the 2006 census and has definitely grown from the original 360 in 1900.  Bartlett was incorporated in 1891 after Luther Bartlett who offered the right of way thru his land to the Chicago and Pacific railroad. The village has retained it's original railroad station built in 1873 in the downtown area.
The commuter station is the Metra Milwaukee West Line.  Train time to Chicago Loop is 50 minutes approx.  Monthly fares to Chicago Loop is approximately $116.10.
